Grand Canyon National Park - South Rim

There are so many beautiful places in the U.S.A that we don't appreciate enough and the Grand Canyon National Park is one of them. If it is not on your bucket list- add it right now! My husband and I were looking for a warm domestic place to go on our next adventure and what could be hotter than the desert? Now that being said - yes Phoenix is a nice warm place to visit in March. However, the Grand Canyon may or may not be. We planned our trip to the south rim of the Canyon for the end of March.  Due to the elevation of the canyon, the north rim is still icy and cold around this time. We flew into Phoenix and stayed in Flagstaff.  I would recommend staying at the canyon if possible to save yourself from driving back and forth (3 Hrs round trip) from Flagstaff after a tiring day of hiking.  We spent two days at the canyon and hiked two of the main trails in the area.
